Springtime, will you marry me?
I rode my bike to work yesterday. It was sunny when I went, but raining when I left. So, I pulled my visor down to keep my glasses dry, put my headphones in my ears, and I was off. The rain was so nice, and the scenery matched perfectly. Streetlights glowed in the darkness, and puddles reflected the images back. Entire streets lit up with the greens and reds of stoplights, and the occasional car added to the piercing lights. The play of light and dark with the rain made me think of songs and paintings mixed into one. It was really quite amazing.
The ride made me reminise about a few memories, two in specific. First of the time Chelsea, Vanessa, and I rode bikes to Windsor to rent movies. What a day. Such misfortune and hilarity wrapped in the same aerobic event. The second memory was the same as always when it rains. Of lemons and yellow umbrellas and going-out-of-business book stores. Equal hilarity, but not as much misfortune until Stelth almost died. "Nobody thinks of Santa Claus."
I miss you all. Everyone. The problem with Livejournal is that people comment about hanging out and calling, but it never happens. You know what, just call me if you want. Whoever. We don't have to hang out, we can just talk. I really do love talking with my friends, and I miss it. I work often, but I usually have one part of the day off.
Katie and I found a place today. We'll be signing leases and such soon, and moving in on the 1st of July. I'm excited.
