Now I have to totally comment on the Bible. I hear and see so many people that think the Bible is ultimate truth. Your story about Lot is a wonderful example of how the writer has contradictions. To me it is sad because now that the Bible is considered the answer and truth to everything...EVERY. SINGLE. CONTRADICTION. lingers within every church and newspaper about WHAT IS MEANT HERE? And we go through life constantly arguing these contradictions. That is religion. Church is about interpreting the Bible because that is all we have from the past to go by....at least that is what I see in the churches I've been too.
I think it is so sad we put so much emphasis on the Bible. It is a bunch of stories written by a man or woman. Men and women are clearly flawed and thus their writing will most likely have contradictions. We don't argue contradictions in Harry Potter to the point where it controls our life. It is a story. The Bible is a story that contains a lot of metaphors and meanings that...YES, I agree...probably is very profound and life changing but to go on about OH THE BIBLE SAID HOMOSEXUALITY IS WRRROOOONNNNNGGGG. SMITE ALL THOSE WHOM ARE. Whatever, I don't think God cares if you are gay just as long as you are acting with the best intentions towards life. I truly don't think God would care if you had a fetish for HORSES....hah....Horsosexuality. As long as you aren't hurting people or harming animals God won't care.

And for those who are obsessed about the Bible I will gladly announce, the Catholics of OLD DAYS has decided that OH THIS STORY CONTRADICTS OUR BELIEFS AND TEACHINGS *REMOVES*. There is a nice lovely handful of Bible stories that never made it in the Bible because of Catholics. Trust me, my grandma has them. What about those stories? Are those godly truth?
