So it's been two days since Hannah and I started using a power saw for our senior project, and I am happy to say that between the two of us we still have a whopping 20 fingers intact! Already we have defied the expectations of us held by Mr. Lang, Gil, and both my parents. There's nowhere to go but up.
I am also happy to announce that we have an official catapult handshake. It is amazing, and goes a little something like this: Hannah and Simone slowly push one arm back with the other, feigning the resistance of a spring there, then release the "catapult", swing their arm around once, and slap hands as they come around. Sound effects such as creaking and random high pitched noises are a must. You know you wish you had our skillz.

In addition, unless you actually see us with an expensive power tool in one hand and a piece of wood in the other, when Hannah and I say we are "working on our catapult" what we really mean is:
1) we are going to play lacrosse for a while
2) we are going to play Halo for a long while at Hannah's house
3) we are playing ping pong at my house
4) we are playing foosbol at my house
5) we are playing pool at Alexis' house
6) we are "taking showers" (heh heh heh . . . )
7) we are getting lots of food and doing crosswords outside the senior center
8) Hannah and I have absolutely nothing in mind, but do not wish to speak with you.
