Hey Livejournal friends! How are you?!
Okay, it's been a really long time since I've come over here. I was trying to keep up on everyone's posts and reply when I could but that turned out to be much harder than I thought. It's tough making myself sit down at a computer screen at night, after I've spent all day sitting at a computer at work. I can even watch TV (which is crazy cause I love TV)! I've got about 6 episodes of Fargo DVR'd and at least that many of Turn. I have no idea when I'll get to them...
I did dig up a half-written SGA story I've got on my hard drive and read through it. I was surprised - it's not half bad! Now if I could just figure out how to get my bum in my seat for enough time to do some typing... I also had this great idea (in the shower - where so many great ideas are born) about another SGA story. Might have to get out the dust rag and clean up my little corner of SGA fandom. There's still some life here! Oh yeah... sitting... and typing...
I got a new Kindle recently and have been reading a handful of the free kindle books. A lot of those free ones... I'm sorry - they're terrible. But then that gets me thinking: if they did, why am I not doing this? I could totally do this! And reading bad fiction is helpful (to a degree) on what NOT to do in my own stuff. I occasionally get all excited about writing while reading these terribly written novels, but oh yeah... sitting... and typing...
Wanted to say hello to everyone! It's been a long time. I would say I'm off to go write but I just picked up the new Dresden Files book (and I learn a lot from really good writing too), so I will probably be doing that for most of today. :)
