NaNo Report!
We're not quite a week into NaNo but I thought I'd update my progress. I'm trying one of those progress bar thingies here. So far, I've got a little over 9,000 words down, and I need about 10,000 by end of day today to stay on track for this thing. I'm trying really hard not to get behind too early, or I'll never get to 50,000 by the end of the month. My Secret Santa story is DONE! It will need some editing but I'll save that fun for December. I started a shorter story this weekend, and once that's done, I'll dive into the longer story I started in September. It feels good to crank out words and see these stories getting closer and closer to being completed!
On another note, Jim Butcher - author of the Dresden Files - posted a short article on writing in general that I enjoyed quite a bit. I found it very motivating! I should probably bookmark it and read it on a regular basis. You can read it here.
