A good writing week
This week was a good writing week! After realizing I needed to make some massive changes to my genficathon story, I had it in the back of my head that I wanted to finish those by this weekend, to give my betas a chance to re-read the story and let me know how it was working out. I kind of didn't believe I would actually be able to pull that off, but lo and behold, draft 1 on the rewrite is finished!! I'm so thrilled with how this story has turned out now. Way, way better than before. I'll let it sit for a few days so I can clear my head, then read it through and hopefully make just a few last little tweaks and edits. I may actually be done with this thing ON TIME!
On top of that, I managed to write a quick little one-shot. That thing just kind of fell on to the page, and didn't turn into an epically long story. Double miracle! My muse is being particularly active these days, and I've got a lineup of stories in my head demanding to be written. I'm feeling pretty good about actually knocking some of these stories out now.
