Yes. Well, you see these aliens knew of the Titanic as the Earth's most famous cruise vessel, so they thought fit to name their space cruise ship after it. Obviously they missed why it's so famous.

The Titanic was a large cruise ship meant to sale from London to New York in 1912, and because it was so large and expensive, it was said to be unsinkable. And then they hit an iceberg and the ship sank and thousands died.

I don't think they really meant to, it just sort of ended up that way. It was just a piece of human culture that had been distorted and gotten well known on their planet.
