[The Doctor happens to interrupt Merlin right in the middle of...well, he's polishing his sword. No, not an euphemism, he literally has a shiny broadsword in front of him that he is polishing. He's not sure why he's doing this when there is no one around ordering him to do so, but he is bored and homesick and he's not quite sure what will happen if he lets an enchanted magical sword get rust on it.

He blinks, peers around the TARDIS, then back at the Doctor.]

...aren't you supposed to be the chap who doesn't believe in magic?

[rolls his eyes] Yeah, I'd figured that part out - seems like just about everyone here is. I meant the future's future, or your future, I suppose. Though I guess if you can travel through time, just about anything can be your future.

...wow, that does get a bit confusing, doesn't it?

Exactly! Great wide universe is entirely in my backyard. Every star, every planet, anything that ever happened, anything that ever will.

It's amazing.
