Christmas Break
What has been up since the break?
Over the past 2 weeks, my relatives from California stayed with us. So it's all about entertaining them. They hit the malls, tiangges during the start of their stay here. My cousins began to wear out as they stayed longer here.
Anyway, what have I been doing.
Dec. 21 - A day for myself. I didn't go with my relatives to Los Banos because I just wanted to rest. I ran a few errands for my dad though; made a streamer for the annual family reunion on my Dad's side.
Dec. 22 - Shopping! I bought Jen's gift. Hehe. Hmm.. 7 malls in around 6 hours? Not bad. Good exercise too. Hehe. Made used of the public tranportation well (ie MRT, LRT2) to get me from place to place.
Dec. 23 - Ate She's birthday. :) Went to Jen and gave her gift already. Hehe.
Dec. 24 - Surprise companions for Noche Buena ;) It was fun. Hehe. Especially coming from my Ninang's house, on Commonwealth, hitting a really, really rough patch of road. Haha. Our hearts were pounding even after getting out of it. Hehehe.
Dec. 25 - The usual Christmas day with my relatives on my mom's side. We got toys! Haha. Apparently, they remembered last Christmas that we felt sad because of our gifts; shirts! So they all ganged up on us! Next year, more cash! Hehe.
In the evening, my relatives wanted to get some shoes for our trip to Banawe (in Ifugao not near Dimasalang) so we hit SM North to be able to acquire some. Not all the stores were open; it was an experimental thing they did, opening on Christmas day.
Dec. 26 - The annual reunion on my dad's side. Meeting relatives that we didn't even talk to; 4 generations on one roof. Apparently, the family of my grandma's grandma (that would be us) happens to be the host. So we had no choice to be there early and forced to stay until the end. We usually leave after lunch. Hehe. Oh yeah, I met my youngest cousin for the first time. He's 6 yrs old right now I believe.
My younger cousin who is staying here with us, wanted sushi so we ate in Saisaki for dinner. Yum. hehe. No angus beef though. Then tried out SM North again. Now they got their shoes.
Dec. 27 - We had lunch in City Best. First time in a long time, all my relatives on my dad's side (only his siblings and children and my lola, of course) were together under one roof. This is when I got acquainted with my youngest cousin. Apparently, he likes cars and I happen to play Need for Speed: Most Wanted. All of us went home since my dad and his siblings were to have a meeting so I was able to win over my youngest cousin completely. He's good in the street racing thing; likes those police pursuits.
Anyway, they had to go and we had to prepare. We were to leave for Banawe at around 10 pm. My dad didn't ride with us thought since he had a meeting the following day. The trip was around 10 hours, I was still able to sleep though. We were 9; my brother, my mother and I, my tito and tita plus their 2 children and my ninang and her youngest daughter.
Dec. 28 - We arrived at around 8 in the morning. Man, was it raining. It was terrible. We couldn't go down the terrace like what my family and I did around 3 - 4 years ago. Then again, we went to Banawe when it was summer. Too bad my relatives weren't able to experience going down the terrace. And we were in a little fear because landslides could happen any time. Luckily, it didn't.
We spent the remainder of the afternoon and the rest of the night indoors. We played cards and also ate dinner there. Hehe.
Dec. 29 - Yet another rainy day. Didn't do much but eat and lie in the room but we went to the Banawe musuem early in the afternoon. We prepared to leave for Manila at 5:30pm. We actually left at 6 and reached Manila around 3 in the morning.
Dec. 30 - From the bus station, we went home and had a really early breakfast. Actually, it was a uh dinfast? Haha. We didn't exactly have dinner, and a bag of Ruffles doens't count as one. Hehe. Anyway, slept. When I got up, went to Jen, ate out for lunch and headed out for Megamall. When I brought her home and got home myself, no one was here. So I called my dad and found out they were in Tiendesitas. They were to eat out. I followed. 20-25 minutes there? Haha. No problem. We just ate and headed back home.
That's my break in a nutshell. And oh yeah, family picture taking in a couple of hours. Haha. Gotta get ready! :p
