Reading can shed light

Reading can shed light on what we should allready know. Yep, your friends can tell you something but you may not be ready until..reading the same thing in a book tells you that you really should have known this, and now you should really say THANK YOU to all your friends for shedding the light. So Thank you my friends. I read the book "He's not that into you" and it was very helpful. I finally talked to my guy and he's said "your not my girlfriend, I'm not dating anyone else, and I'm not the right guy for you".

At this point I'd have to guess/say the single reason things aren't right is because..long distance only really works when two people are seriouly commited to each other. I still wanted to find out why he's not the right one according to him (maybe learn for the future in case there is something else I should know but don't know). All I got was he's planning on moving home (as in not in the US) after graduation in March. I was like, really your not applying for a visa extention to stay and look for an internship or something? I get it, you'd rather go home and maybe I was the one being too emotional and impractical having more expectations considering all the circumstances?

Still..the guy I'm technically dating (technically since we never broke up but now both know it will probably end before he moves) keeps asking when I'm going to visit him and stay over (in the city) for a while. He's like you can stay at friends places or maybe with your brother. Yes, but to leave I need permission, and I need my brother to be not out of town for work. Personally I really don't know if I should go back and visit him? I said maybe in Jan. or Febuary..we'll see. I would like to go back but I need a job before I could go. Ofcourse when I get a job, it's harder with limited time off and I allready have to plan for family obligations later in the year (which has a prioity on whatever time off I have). Aah see my issue?

What do you all think? I kinda want to go back to see him before he leaves in Febuary at the latest ( either during valentines day weekend or president's day 3 day long weekend), at least to end things in person. At the same time, it would be nice to visit some of my friends who live in the area permantly. Any advice on what to do would be great.
