May (and some of June)
I haven't updated in a while but May was actually quite eventful. Birthdays (Ala, Erwin, Joseph, Carmel and Teresa, Chris, et al), a farewell (Mariebel), movies (Indy, SATC - OMG!), books (BDB and other vampires!), and a concert (Foo - I <3 Dave 4eva. He is the funniest ever dude). Here are some other highlights:
Paella Sunday
The girls and I trekked all the way to the Chatswood vicinity to take part in paella sunday. It was really cheap eats for a 3 course meal under the sun. We brought home some chorizo but unfortunately, did not take home any loot from Chatswood Chase (I will make up for this later, though).
Fiji
I've been to Fiji 3 times (once to Suva and twice to Nadi) in the last seven months. Although I can't say I feel at home when I go there, things have started to become familiar. Especially when I went to the museum. Doesn't this look like a Kalan (clay stove)? They called it a pot holder!

Also, on my last stay, the hotel I stayed at had down pillows! I was so excited I could finally sleep well because aside from the face that I'm "namamahay", I never use hotel pillows because they're always too fat to use under the head. I literally almost cried when I lay down on my pillow. It also crossed my mind to attempt to pinch one but decided I'd just buy one from DJ's. (too much effort! haha)
June Sales
So here's my loot. I've been very good the past few months but since we got a salary adjustment (which was a little meh but whatev, an increase is still an increase!), I indulged a little and got these (metal headbands marked down to $3 from $45 (exag!); 30% off wool tights and Skinny belts marked down to $19.95 from $40 - which I didn't even pay for because I had a voucher!)
Also this lovely pair of purple shoes which I thought were red
And the shoes that I've been wanting forever but now don't know what to wear with
PS - I also technically didn't pay for the shoes because Larissa used my Withcery voucher to get her bag so when she pays me, it'll be even!
Whale watching
We went whale watching yesterday but the weather was really bad so the whales only kept shooting water from their blowholes and wouldn't frolic. The water was so rough we couldn't get close.
This boat reminded us of Gutsy because she was supposed to go whale watching with Issa.
This is me listening to my ipod in an attempt to distract myself from upchucking.

After dinner at Pancake at the Rocks at Darling Harbour with Kat and holding the hot chocolate from Lindt (not LENT, Derek! Why would I look forward to Lent?), we were walking up to the bus stop on George St when I suddenly screamed "It's Jack Black!" Medyo nawala ang poise ko. hahaha Unfortunately, we were too late as he was signing his last autograph before we could even locate our cameras. Here is Issa being usi -
And then, it was time for SATC. I <3 Carrie. I <3 Smith. I <3 the clothes and shoes. sigh.
Yun lang po. I'm tired na.
