bits and pieces

Work has been pretty full on lately. I attended a Country Programming Workshop early this week and bits of it was pretty interesting but A LOT of it was dead boring. There was this dude who had a Spanish sounding name but his accent was kinda french. He talked like this "ow can we elp armonization between zee donors". And no, my H is working fine thank you.

And then my boss made me sindak pa. She asked if I had finished the SOL Business Plan, so I said I started it na. She goes who told you the workshop was priority, I asked you to finish it by Monday (which she did not, she said May 2, which was Wednesday). I was like hello, the reason I attended the workshop was because you told me to attend it so I'd have an idea how to write the COBP! (but I didn't say that out loud) I just said I talked to the other boss and he said he would write the text, I just needed to attach the appendices (does anyone know why in Australia they spell it as appedixes? it's strange, but I digress...) Then she goes oh, ok if you've talked to him that's fine. (thus my mini heart attack was actually for nothing). Whatever.

I've quit the gym since it was a waste of money because I was only attending the yoga classes anyway. Besides, there's a yoga place just up our street so that should be really convenient. I'm still considering going back to tiaki because I love the reformer class but it's pretty expensive.

I finally caught up with Grey's (thanks, Den!) and despite the cringe worthy Burktina moments and anoba-drama-na-naman for Meredith, I still <3 Grey's. McDreamy-Steamy! And one ep of Heroes. Can't wait to see the next one.

One of my childhood friends (and crushes!) is featured here
and here is his site. He is so galing! I really should practice photography, I haven't had the inclination lately. I want a digital SLR.

This kid is so bilib if idealistic. But it also makes me kind of guilty that I was an "isoklar ng bayan" and I am one of those people she was referring to in her speech. First, when I graduated I chose a higher paying IT job over one I was offered in PBSP, which was a non-profit organisation in Intramuros and more related to my undergrad. I sometimes wonder what could have been and regret that decision but working at SVI does bring back a lot of great memories. Second, I fled the country in search of better opportunities. Granted, I now work for a development bank but you know... makibaka.

And lastly. Spiderman 3 is crap. The only redeeming thing about it is James Franco tapos they made sunog pa his face in the end. grrr.
