what a weekend!
weekend was pretty sweet. went to state on Friday. Hung out and got super tight with Emily, who is now my favorite. I also met this friend of hers from Fenwick, she was really cool. I told her I would take her to the Orchesis spring show. sweet. Taylor swam okay. He didn't make top twelve, he was pretty bummed. Fenwick got third, and won both the free relays. I really don't feel too bad about lousing to Tom Parolin as much, seeing as how he's the 6th best 200 freestyler in the state of Illinois. I had a crazy fun drive with my crew that night, caught up with a somewhat inebriated michael perna a little while later. fun shit.
saturday night was our swimming party that by the end of the night, I think everybody BUT swimmers were there. that's cool though. I ended up being a fucking chauffeur for the whole night though, didn't really spend as much time at the party as I wanted to.
swim meet on sunday. got there at one, didn't start til two freaking thirty. swam well though. got back, hit up burger king w/ mark. then went to Pie. we watched the closing ceremonies fort the olympics.
It happens every olympics, I always end up getting a huge crush on some athlete. I wasn't too sure it was going to happen this year,but I tuned on NBC a few night ago, and when I saw Emily Hughes take the ice, it was my olympic crush for 2006. in the summer of 04' it was Carly Patterson. It's just one of those things that happens.
I was driving maddie home and, this was basically our conversation:
"Tim, I could really see you, like going to the olympics."
" me too, I really wanna go, I was thinking the next time the summer games are in the US I'll get tickets."
"No, I mean, I see you like going and winning a Gold metal. In swimming, I can just see you finishing your race and going insane when you realize you got gold."
I am not an olympic swimmer, and If I was going to be, we would have known by now. But it that little thing just made me feel so great.
College and High School people can be friends on facebook?? what?!?!
