(no subject)
I didn't go to school. I just couldn't bring myself to do any more work, so I slept all day. Now I am listening to music and not touching my homework. I hade a field trip yesterday, so that means I'm already behind. I missed a chem lab yesterday and another one today. HAHA I have so much work I'm just piling up this is insane. And yet im still ignoring it. What's the use? Guess what I learned: Suppose Gabrielle applys to ten good colleges in this area. Now Gabrielle and I will probably like similar types of colleges, so we'll probably want to apply to many of the same colleges, though we will end up going to different ones. Say we each apply to ten colleges. They will only likely want one of us, and select gabrielle beacuse she's got a slightly better gpa than me. She'll be accepted to like, six colleges out of the ten and they will ALL reject me. She'll only go to one of them, but the remaining five would most likely have accepted me if they accepted her since our gpa is really close but now they won't accept me and she won't be going anyway. Instead, kids who may have some difference, perhaps they play a different instrument, are involved in different clubs/activities, from a different town etc. will be accepted instead of another "repeat" of Gabrielle, even if their grades and involvement are no better than mine! Therefore I am screwed and will have to independantly apply to whatever colleges gabrielle decides that she doesn't like for a fair chance to get in. Great.
