(no subject)
This weekend was about as dumb as the majority of my vacation. Aside from Christmas and the Christmas Tea, I spent my vacation doing the college apps I'd put off or trying to think of what to write for the college apps that I'd put off. Concequently, I got none of the work I was supposed to be doing done. I love how teachers don't exactly assign homework over vacation, but instead assign homework over vacation and give you a tiny bit more time to do it in, so that if you DON'T do work over vacation you are just out of luck. Anyway, that's what happened.
I went skiing on friday evening with my dad and sister. It was a lot of fun, and probably the only exercize I got since that dance class two and a half weeks ago. I did wipe out and hit my head though...
Saturday was my guinea pig's birthday. The little porker is now three years old. We were going to have a birthday party for him, but Gabrielle and Dad wanted to watch the Patriot's game and my mom got mad and yelled that they were ruining his big day, and the idea got scrapped. Also, my fish, Sam's tail fell off last week. He seems upset about it.
I proceeded to spend most of Saturday and Sunday reading pride and prejudice, which, while it was a good book, was never meant to be read in a day and a half. Then I went to go see the movie version of it with my mother so I could write a silly movie resposnse to go along with my essay. I found the bossy, dictatorial and over-involved mother in it to be not unlike my own. As I was thinking this to myself, she told me how cute she thought the mother was, and how she thought she should win an award for her performance. Now I am writing my paper.
I don't think I'm coming to school tmorrow because I don't feel like it. No, I think instead I will watch the five hour production of pride and prejudice, since we got that out of blockbuster before we realized that west newton cinema was still playing the new version. If I went to school and didn't watch it tomorrow, I doubt I would find the time before it is due back. No need to senslessly waste the rental.
