Solo20in20 - Kagome Higurashi
Kagome is a character that I'm very comfortable making icons with, so that's why I chose her for the first round of solo20in20! This round was themed after the classic tale of Snow White, so all of the themes have a special meaning to the story.
Inuyasha was my first major anime series, and it's what got me into the icon world here at LJ, so it holds a special place in my heart. I'm still very active in Inuyasha Icontests as well, such as inuawards, and sesshy_icontest. Kagome is one of those characters that you just can't help but like. She's sweet, funny, and yet holds enough complexity to not be an airhead/cheerleader. She also has a lot of screentime, making it easy to find a lot of really nice images XD

NOTES
02 - This icon is a throwback to one of my older icons that I used to love.
05 - There are seven white stripes in this icon. I thuoght it was a bit lame, but I was rushed.
08 - I was going for a poison arrow for this icon.
11-15 - I wanted to do something different, so I chose to highlight a different color for each icon. Fortunately, Kagome's school uniform has red/white, and her hair is black, so all three colors are represented in each icon anyway.

16-20 - For the AC, I wanted to showcase Kagome's sweet personality, as well as the different styles of artwork for the series. I also wanted to try something different, so I chose to do all of the icons in sepia tones as an extra challenge.
