Eating Disorders- One of my close friends recently recovered from anorexia. I was the person she came to for help partially because my dad is a doctor. My mom had anorexia when she was in highschool as well, so we all talked to her. It was frustrating though, because she didn't seem to understand the root of the problem. I think for most people, eating disorders don't arise from wanting to be thin..they arise because of other deeper issues. My mom said she developed anorexia because her parents were so controlling in her life..her dad wouldn't even let her cut her hair..and she felt that it was the only thing in her life she had control of. When my dad was a resident in med. school he had to make rounds in this psychiatric clinic, and this girl had been checked in who had dropped all the way to 50 lbs. with her anorexia. He said that the doctors put her on an I.V. because she continued to refuse to eat, but she got up in the middle of the night once and emptied the contents of the I.V. and refilled it with water..so they eventually checked her back out and sent her home because they couldn't do anything for her. My dad was sure she had died. So yea, eating disorders are a very sad thing because no one else can really help the person; they can only help themselves. It's a very frustrating thing to try to deal with; I don't think a lot of people understand exactly how hard they are.

Politics- I try not to get too involved with politics because they are irritating. Our political structure may have a lot of flaws, but it could be a lot worse. I am tired of hearing about how bad Bush is. We may not agree with everything he's done, but when are we ever going to agree with everything our President has done? We really could have someone much worse in office. Bush may be an idiot, but Al Gore is a flaming crazy idiot (he thinks he invented the internet). Anyway, it seems to be the new trend to hate Bush, and I think it's kind of ridiculous. Even if you don't like anything he's done, at least give him the respect his position deserves. (And we did NOT go to Iraq to steal their oil..if we did, our gas prices would not be monstrous right now)

Standarized Highschool Tests- They're kind of pointless since no one takes them seriously.

Straight Edge (sXe)- I don't know..I don't really care that much. If they want to draw little x's on their hands and brag about how they don't drink or smoke, then more power to them. They're not hurting me. I personally don't drink or smoke or do drugs, but I don't make it a point to tell everyone.

What's the weirdest dream you've had?: I usually don't remember my dreams, so I can't really think of a good answer for this question. But my friend had a really funny dream that she was on the ORU (christian university) campus and some guys came up and told her she was "the one" and made her go dance with a bunch of redheads and Satan chose her to be his wife and they got married in this building there.

What would you normally be seen wearing?: Depends on my mood. I usually layer clothing though..especially things that don't match. Not because I'm trying to be weird or different, I just think it looks kewl. The other day I wore some blue and purple plaid pants and a long sleeve red striped shirt under a short sleeve black and white striped shirt. But sometimes I just wear jeans and a t-shirt (with some long sleeve shirt underneath).

Why do you think you should be accepted?: Because I'm smashingly sexy.

If you could be any singer from the 80's, who would you be and why?: Either Robert Smith of the Cure or Boy George of Culture Club because I like the whole androgynous New Wave thing, and Robert Smith had pretty kewl hair.

Relationship Status? If taken, tell us the sweetest story your boy/girlfriend has done for you. If single and have an ex, tell us a horrific ex story. Make us want to kill the bitch/bastard...:D: I am taken, and my boyfriend does a lot of sweet things, but I think the sweetest thing he does is that he drives 500 miles and sleeps in his car every two or three weeks just to spend time with me. He is my best friend; he's just awesome.

What do you want to be when you get older?: A writer or a college professor.

What do you think is your most annoying habbit?: Complaining about things I don't like about myself.

You can be anyone for exactly 24 hours (living or dead). Who would you be and why?: Shakespeare because he is smashingly awesome.

Picture, please? *puppy dog eyes*: Oh, alright.
