For those of you who love the electronica, and went 'hey, Daft Punk made a movie or something, called Electroma, I'll bet that's going to be a good time', listen to my plea.
ELECTROMA BAD. FIRE GOOD.
It's not an extra long music video. In fact, there are like 4 very brief, not very impressive songs in the whole film. This is terrible, because the film is long and slow. I normally adore naturalistic 'what, you need a chorus to make you feel something about this scene' film-making, but when the information you need from each scene is ONLY visual and you get it in the first couple seconds...that it takes 5 minutes to complete the scene is torture. The whole thing could have been over in 20 minutes. About the length of time I spent watching robots walk through a desert.
I wanted a rock flick and I got a vomit inducing French art film.
If you're still going to try and watch it, take my advice - fast forward past everything but the White Lab Scene (you'll know) and the very, very end which I will call the Lighting up the Night Scene (you'll know).
At least I didn't watch that one Bjork movie.
electroma,
robot suicide,
yeah they fail at wearing makeup,
bad movie,
it sucks,
i want my 13 dollars back,
vomit inducing french art film,
oh did i spoil it?
