i wish i could watch the superbowl with matt jealous_monk this sunday. i didn't mention this story..
so a few saturdays back matt and i watched the panthers game against the um.. i forget now. but it was the one where they were 2 games from the superbowl. matt's a huge fan. he wore his julius pepper jersey (which engulfs him. don't they sell mediums, matt??) throughout the game he's freaking out, cursing, cheering, slamming my chair against the wood floor (we're on the 6th floor) and yelping like a little girl. the game ends and we win and 10 minutes after i hear a knock on my door. it's a knock i've heard before and there's no mistaking, it was a cop knock!
so i'm like, who is it?
"police!!"
i answer the door to SIX cops all standing outside my door. the guy asks if there's an females in the house. i say, "oh, are you here because of the screaming? yeah, that's my friend. he's a big..panthers fan." at this point matt timidly walks out of my den in his huge jersey and makes a half ass wave at the cops. they still ask to search the house and do a quick lookaround telling me i have a "big apartment." they kind of laugh and walk out the door.
the funny part, well the other funny part is i hadn't showered in days and was wearing a thermal long john shirt and probably smelled like the kfc and beer we had been eating and drinking.
yeah we're classy.
