Well, my cousin is pregnant again. 4 babies, 3 baby daddies.
In other news...
My nephew has been diagnosed with Aspergers Syndrome. Also, General Anxiety Disorder, Dysthymic Disorder and Disorder of Written Expression (Taken word for word form the 25 page report).
This is the same 10 year old nephew with Type 1 diabetes.
My sister has a meeting today with the school and the woman (dr) who tested him (from a Neuropyschology center). He was tested for 4 days (spread out) and now there is finally a diagnosis. We kind of suspected this would be the result (Aspergers), but hearing that label applied to your child for the first time... It broke my sister's heart, which broke mine.
We know he is going to be ok. He just has a bit of a rough road ahead of him. We also realize we are lucky to know these things this early. Her school system is absolutely wonderful and they paid for all the testing (which is good because it was pricey), and are willing to do whatever it takes to make sure he gets what he needs.
I just want to hold my sister and let her cry until she can't anymore, and tell her everything is going to be ok. Because it is.
