How come no matter how you want the holiday season to be over, it always seems like time slows down just so you can linger on it. I see the holidays as nothing more than the commercial and media industries coming up with a way to over play what Christmas is really all about. I believe that Christmas has anything to do with gifts. Gifts were presented to Jesus to show the Three Wise Men's token of appreciation for him being born. Jesus after all was the Son of man. People's new perception of the holidays, is that Santa will deliver presents to all unassuming boys and girls who obey the rules set forth by the mother and father figure. By the way, this is one of the Ten Commandments. This time of year, people should focus on family, friends (even though, most are not here), sharing, kindness, patience, and the gift of joy and happiness each gives you. Instead, most people don't think twice about Jesus, how he got here, or what he did for man by killing himself. I think people should slow down this year, and take a look at the true meaning of Christmas through your own eyes. If you do, then you will experience a simple bliss that only comes by giving your heart to the Lord. Most of you are already gone, but for those about to depart, I wish you the best of luck on the road, air , or sea, and for you to be safe, and have a wonderful Christmas, and a Happy New Year.
