First weekend of Spring break has commenced, and already I am bored, so naturally I will update. Mostly updating about weekends past, since it has been a while since I have wrote in this thing.
Friday (March 7): Dave and I went to the last hockey game of the season. So anyways, while we were sitting in our seats before the game began, some guy comes up to us and asks if we wanted to sit in the Kamel Hassan seats for the game. Dave was totally oblivious to what the guy was saying because he was reading the newspaper, but I was like, "sure, definitely." So during the first timeout of the game, they make an announcement over the loudspeaker that announced the seats we were sitting in, and we had to act all surprised when they showed us on the big tv screen, and then they lead us to the seats. They are these big, comfy red seats that are in the middle of the arena and you usually get a free meal from the concessions when you win the seats. However, Dave and I had already eaten at Berkshire so we didn't know if we could fit anything more into our stomachs. However since Big Y was sponsoring everything that night, the representatives from Big Y brought over a shitload of party food to our seats and were like, "enjoy." It was about fifty or so dollars worth of food, and was all stuff that was packaged and we could bring it home after the game (a few things that were included: cookies, chips and dip, shrimp cocktail, chicken wings, fruit salad, etc.). Needless to say we were psyched. So anyways, we stay in the seats for the entire game, and it was a really good game with UMass beating Merrimack 5-2. I am definitely going to miss UMass hockey games when I graduate. Anyways, when it was over we went back to Dave's to put the food away, and we spend a little time there just hanging out, and Julie asks us if we want to go to Puffton with her and Mike. So Dave and I go with them, and we miss the bus and have to walk there. We have to wade through about a foot of water since it was pouring out, but we finally get there. When we get there it's absolutely packed and you can barely hear yourself think, but we decide to stay. Needless to say it was a typical UMass party and I don't remember much about it.
Saturday (March 8): Nothing of consequence really happened. Mostly recovering from the night before, then hanging out at Dave's.
Sunday (March 9): Nothing really happened this day either. Went to ABC with Dave for our usual Sunday night beers. Talked about theology most of the time. When we went to leave the bartender said that she was looking forward to seeing us every Sunday (I guess we are good tippers).
The rest of the week was filled with fun stuff like writing papers and doing sorts of pre-Spring break things.
Friday (March 14): Passed in my paper late, hopefully my professor won't care because it was only like ten minutes late and I emailed it to him on time. If he does I don't really care because he counts the best two papers twice and I did well on the last paper and there are two more papers to go. After that went to Berkshire, then ran various errands and packed and got on the bus to go to Albany. The bus wasn't too packed and I got the window seat both times so that made me happy.
Saturday (March 15): Slept in late, then ran errands with my Mom. Transferred my cell phone bill into my name and tried to upgrade my phone but they didn't have the one I wanted in stock so when I go to Dave's I'll see if they have it there. Came home and celebrated St. Patty's day early by having an Irish dinner (corned beef and cabbage) and listened to the Clancy Brothers. Then after dinner, my Mom, Herb, Ben, and I had a Wii tournament. We played Wii bowling in my room and made it look like one of those disco bowling places with the disco lights and we played music and had a lot of fun. I love the Wii, it is so much fun.
Sunday (today): Got up super late (2:30) and have been super lazy. So that's it for now I guess.
