Well thanks for that and hooray for your other answers too!! Having said that I AM trying to lose weight. Not I hasten to add to become stick thin glamour model (oh, very Ha Ha!!), but mainly because at the ripe old age of 66 my knees have decided that they can no longer take the strain of my large dragon body without complaining painfully. Since I intend to rollick and dance my way towards my death this is a bit of a problem so I am trying to do things that help. I am also going to a gym that uses chairs and beds that move with you to help with gentle non loading bearing exercise. All of which has been great fun (all the ladies at the gym are mad as hatters just like me and we have a lot of fun.) Of course the added advantage of having lost over a stone in weight is that I have dropped a couple of dress sizes and have been able to get things more easily (Yay - new summer clothes!!). So all in all a win win situation.And I feel really virtuous as I watch the pounds very slowly but surely drop away. And no-I am not stinting myself most of the time, happily tucking into wonderful and tasty food whenever I want to. Merely that some days the tasty food hapens to be salad and occasionnally fruit instead of ice cream,,beefsteak and chocolate bars.
