Oh god that looks good. We're much the same with ginger, but I'm definitely going to try cinnamon in my pasta sauce later :)

You only need a touch - unless you are me - as it can get a bit medicinal. In bolognese I use about 1/4 - scant 1/2 a teaspoon.

I should add, if I make bolognese it's usually with about a pound of meat, to give you an idea of ratio. What are you going to make?

Possibly a bolognese, though I have some lovely diced beef in the fridge, so I might well do something with that tonight instead. I'm feeling adventurous, even if C might run scared from whatever I end up creating!
