So here I am, yet another year of Summer Study at Penn State. My first year I never thought there would abe a second, look at me 4 years later, I could run this program if I needed to. Heck, one day, I might ask to. So far here is the scoop:
The staff is smaller than ever, mostly because the number of students is down. Only about 150 kids, so only 13 staff, yhikes!
The lower staff mean less groups to run activities, and we repeat more often, so more dorm duties, boo
The staff that we do have is very cool, and fun so far, 7(!) returners, including my brother, and Matt
The kids are cool for the most part, more nerdy than usual, and we are missing that certain middle class element, almost all rich kids
There is a smaller percentage of Jewish kids than usual, maybe only 90% as opposed to 99%

In other news, I am in the middle of a bet with another staff advisor, Dan Ison. He is eating nothing but meat, and I have gone Vegan. No stakes, no prize, just straight pride, a gentleman's bet. I am sure I will win, but I have been eating a lot more and am hungry more often, about every 4 hours as opposed to the normal 6 - 9 hours. I don't expect to lose any weight, but I might, not sure yet.

I miss Kimber. And I expect as the summer goes on I will miss her more and more. I have a slight worry about money at this point, I was expecting another pay check with some money but I guess I calculated wrong, but I shoudl be getting something for being the TV studio guy, I am trying to work it out now.

Guess that's it, I will post later as more develops, especially the food story, that should be interesting.
