Magic notices Jack non-subtly stalking her:
BACK OFF. AGAIN.
The stand-off ended as usual, with a chase upstairs.
But Jack isn't the only bad dog! Sandy is a booger when it comes to rawhide bones. There are always two, but she NEVER lets Jack have one. She has him so well cowed and trained, that he will not even go near them. But if she thinks he might, she growls and snarls and gathers them around her. Obviously, guarding those bones is hard work.
