This week's
FFOF is all about candy. A subject I LOVE. Which is why the treadmill we bought from our friends last night is going to come in very handy. (Thanks again, K and D!)
#1. Candy. Do you prefer sweet or sour candy?
Sweet, definitely. Becca gave me some of her sour candies at the movies today and they shredded my tongue.
#2. Gum. Love it? Hate it? What kind is your favorite?
Very rarely. I prefer mints, especially the new Tic Tac Chill Paradise Mint.
#3. What is your favorite candy?
Anything chocolate/salt or chocolate/coffee. Hershey's Take 5 is one of my favorites. I really liked Java Twix but unfortunately they were limited edition. M&Ms has a new line of premium M&Ms that features a Mocha flavor that's really good.
#4. Share a recipe for anything that you can include a piece of candy in.
I made this once a long time ago and it was delicious. I don't know why I haven't made it since. Maybe after Halloween?
Candy Bar Fudge
Ingredients:
Cooking spray
1 (12 oz.) package (2 cups) semi-sweet chocolate chips
2 (about 3.7-oz.) Snickers bars, chopped
1 (16 oz.) can chocolate frosting
Directions:
Line an 8-inch square pan with foil, extending foil over sides of pan. Spray foil lightly with cooking spray. Set aside.
Melt chocolate chips in medium saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Or microwave chips in medium microwave-safe bowl on HIGH (100% power) 1 to 2 minutes or until chips are melted, stirring occasionally.
Reserve 2 tablespoons chopped Snickers. Add frosting and remaining Snickers to melted chocolate; blend well. Spread in prepared pan. Sprinkle with reserved Snickers. Refrigerate 1 hour or until firm.
Remove fudge from pan by lifting foil; remove fudge from foil. Cut into squares.
