Hello all,
here's the second set.
First off, you should know that since I now have a new car, I'll likely have a few pictures of it now and again.
Next, I always try to get some night photography in while I'm on Whidbey, and it's not always terribly successful. i'm getting better though, it's been a matter of learning what my camera wants to do. Here are two shots, both of them really require clicking on for full sized in order to get them. One of them is a 30 second exposure, the other a 45 minute exposure. Both were at 18mm (29mm effective) f3.5. The first was ISO 1600, the second at ISO 100.
It was extremely windy that night, and it was challenging to find a place to put my tripod without it being blown around, and even more of a challenge to feel comfortable leaving it alone for 45 minutes in the hope that no one would find it and mess with it or have one of the deer decide to lick the lens.
Worked out okay. :)
