This folks, is the end of the road, literally. (and by literally, I mean "literally," not "really really")
Near this point was a lovely sea arch:
And back up on the volcano, we explored a lava tube cave.
Finally, at the onset of dusk, at the caldera where many noxious gasses were emitting, it was possible to see the smoke being lit by the lava from below:
