Avoidance seemed to be the only way Piper had been dealing. Avoidance also led her to feeling more miserable. She hardly left her room except for work and classes. She had not spoken to Lindsey or Veronica lately, and she was starting to realize how much she missed them both. Kind of a lot.
Which is why she sent them both a text message with two simple words: Miss you. She knew how lame it was compared to actually calling, but it was the best she could do for now. It was still a step in the right direction. She hoped.
