There were many times Piper was thankful to have her freezing power. Using it yesterday so she could escape from her boyfriend who happened to be a vampire was one of those times. The nice thing about finding herself in a huge hotel that already had a vampire resident was all the hidey-holes.

Since escaping from Dick and Logan the previous morning, Veronica had found plenty of places to wait out the sunshine. To her dismay, she hadn't managed to find a meal come nightfall. She was hesitant to leave the hotel since she was still convinced this was some sort of white hat trickery.

She had found Lindsey, though not Tyler. She was still angry about Bel being with that whore witch too.

So when she caught whiff of a familiar scent passing her current hiding place, she grinned. Maybe she could get a good meal after all. She silently crept down the hall behind Piper.

Piper stopped for a moment, tilting he head as if listening for someone. "Phoebe?"

Veronica smirked and made use of her vamp speed to rush behind Piper and grab the witch's arms.

"Wrong!" she sing-songed. "Though she's on my list too. Lindsey will be so pleased that I found you."

"I won't let you anywhere near my sister," Piper said, ignoring that last comment. She tried to reach into her pocket for a vial of holy water, but Veronica's grip on her arms was a little too strong.
