Today was Piper's birthday. She spent it by attending classes, one of which she had a test in. Not exactly the most fun birthday ever. Didn't help that it was Monday. She had cake, though. Cake made by her best friend. That made things better

Piper did not look away from the cooking show she was watching when she answered the phone. "Hello?"

"Happy birthday, Mom!" Wyatt said cheerfully.

Piper grinned. Birthday greetings were always appreciated. "Thanks, Wyatt. Good to hear from you."

"How's it going?" Wyatt asked. "Do anything fun today?" But not too fun because she was his mom kinda sorta and all.

"Unless a test counts as fun, then not really," Piper said with a laugh. "Although I learned a new recipe from the Food Network that I might try sometime."

"Oooh, what's it for, and am I invited when you make it?" Wyatt said.

"Well, if I am going to invite you over when I make it, it'll have to be a surprise," Piper replied.

"My birthday's coming up, too," Wyatt hinted. He didn't know that Isabel might've already been making plans.

"So it is," Piper said thoughtfully. "I suppose I can cook something for your birthday."

If there were any plans, Piper certainly was not going to tell him.

"See, this is why you're totally my favorite mom," Wyatt said. Because he had two. Or something like that.

"Awww, and you are totally one of my two favorite sons," Piper grinned.
