East Attic, Thursday Morning

Feb 23, 2006 14:58

Piper returned to the east attic after Business Law and flopped down on the couch. She contemplated taking a nap before her next class.

First, she had to talk to Veronica. She really hoped she was around.

Veronica came back to the room after ACJ, still sticky and annoyed.

"Did you get my note about the shower?" she asked with a frown when she saw Piper.

"Shower worked fine for me. Though it was a bit, um, green?" Piper just blinked a few times.

Veronica frowned. "The water turned into Nyquil when Logan and I were in there," she explained. "We figured it was something with the pipes. I tried the sixth and fifth floors, too, and had the same thing happen. Logan didn't have any problems on the second floor though." She shook her head and walked over to start a pot of coffee.

Piper gaped. "It turned into the green NyQuil? That is just, ew."

She shook her head. Only at this school. "By the way, Phoebe and I found out what the Dragon Blade is. It's... not good."

She had finished measuring the coffee and was filling the carafe with water.

"What is it?" she asked, looking over her shoulder as she started pouring the water into the coffee pot.

"Anyone who is stabbed with it basically loses their soul," Piper explained. "The soul ends up trapped in the blade. See why it's not good?"

Veronica almost dropped the carafe of water. Well, it had been water when she started pouring it. If she had looked, she would have noticed that it was Nyquil now, but she was too busy staring open-mouthed at her roommate.

"That is so the opposite of good that I don't even think there's a word for how bad it is," she said.

She placed the now empty carafe on the burner and flipped the coffee pot on, leaving it to drip as she walked over to where Piper was sitting.

"So now I guess the question is does he have it, know where to find it, or is he still just looking for it?" she asked, sitting heavily on the couch.

"I am praying he is just looking for it and can't find it. If he has it... well, I don't want to think about that," Piper said.

"Me either," Veronica said, leaning her head back against the couch and looking up at the ceiling. "Could this day possibly get any worse?" she wondered.

"The I-Club should know about this. At least Angel should," Piper said quietly. "And I really hope it doesn't get worse."

"I'll send an email," she said. "And I could stop by Angel's room, but, I feel gross and I really want a shower first. I hope it's back to normal."

"I hope so, too," Piper added. "I wonder what happened with the shower anyway? Gremlins maybe?"

"Hm, maybe? Or maybe someone playing a practical joke?" she shrugged.

"Oh hey, coffee should be ready," she said, walking over the counter. She pulled out two mugs and filled them both. She added sugar to hers and whatever Piper took in hers which she would totally know because she's a good roomie and walked back over, handing Piper the coffee before sitting back down.

"I'm guessing Phoebe knows," she said, before taking a drink.

Piper nodded. "Yeah, we both did the research thing last night. Obviously, she isn't happy."

She took a sip of coffee and nearly choked. She also began to flail wildly. "WHAT THE HELL?!! There is Green Death in my coffee!!"

Unfortunately, Veronica sipped her coffee at the exact same moment, so she was also flailing.

"Oh my GOD!" she cried. "I swear it was water when I poured it! And I swear I didn't drip in the pot!"

She put the mug down on the coffee table.

"That is just nasty!" Piper had the most disgusted expression on her face. Then she glanced at Veronica. "I'm thinking it's not the pipes that are the problem."
