almond extract, what to do with it? Also, suggestions on tiny herb garden!

On the almond extract: So far I've used it once in a cake, and I liked it very much, but i was wondering what else could I do with it? I love almonds, and the smell of the extract it so nice, so I'm looking any recipes (especially desserts/cakes/cookies/muffins) that will help me use it up!

On the herb garden: I'm planning to start a tiny herb garden. I don't have much space at all, so I wanted to maximize the sort of things I would actually use (and since what I make the most are spagetti sauces and teas/smoothies, I think stuff for that sort of things would be best).

So far I'm sure I'll be planting some mint, oregano, parsley, basil, (maybe some lemongrass), I have access to ciboulette/onions from my grandma's garden, so that's not an issue for now, what else would you recommend?
