Hungarian fish soup Halászlé

Weekends were held in the mountains! Hurray! We were swimming and eating this incredible and delicious soup . My dad taught me how to cook it. I often went with him on a fishing trip, and then , we were preparing this masterpiece dish. It is not complicated, very aromatic, with a rich taste of fish. Everybody were happy, and this is the most important ! Enjoy your meal!












Bream 2 kg
Carp 2 kg
Pike 1 kg
Onions 1 kg
Paprika 100-130 gr
3 tsp rosemary
Savory 2 tbsp
2-3 tablespoons of sugar
Black pepper 50 gr
Tomato puree 150 gr
chopped hot peppers 1 tbsp
dry wine 150 gr
3 tablespoons fat
Salt and pepper

Clean the fish , cut off the head and tail. Cut into pieces. ( 3 cm). Chop onion into rings.
Layers:
1. Fat
2. Heads and tails
3. Onions and part of spices
4. bream
5. Onions and part of spices
6. Carp
7. Onions and part of spices
8. Pike and tomato puree
9. Add water and wine, ( can barely cover the fish)

Paprikash has a little boil when cooking, don’t mix it (easy to shake) . Prepare is 1,5-2 hours. Bon appetite !
