In about one hour yesterday, I made 10 jars of tart, robust orange marmalade.
I used a tin of
MaMade Preprepared Seville Oranges. The marmalade is lovely and tart, robust orange flavour.

What comes in the tin.

Slow boil for 20 minutes or so.

Use a large pot. It boils up and over very quickly. Tip, wipe it up right away, very sticky

End result, 10 jars of lovely, tart marmalade. I used 1.8 kilo of sugar,
as per instructions. I put a tsp of single malt scotch in three of the
jars. Pressies for Christmas.

Nitty gritty - cost of tin of prepared seville oranges and sugar = $8.99 Cdn.
Output 10 x 250 ml. Cost per jar .89 cents. Current price of a jar of
good marmalade in local store $4.00. I don't factor in price of jars as I
re-use canning jars and rings. I keep a supply of new sealer lids in my
pantry as I use them for food storage on a regular basis.
