I found this recipe for pasta with green asparagus and tamarind paste in a wok cooking book. It's asparagus season and I found tamarinds at the supermarket which took me by surprise but I bought them. I have no experience cooking with them; all I've ever done is eat them by themselves.
Now, the recipe calls for a teaspoon of tamarind paste instead of real tamarinds, so my question is do I use about the same about of tamarinds? More? Less? I'd appreciate any help!
