I found some fresh herring at the market and, being told the season usually lasts only a week or two, I grabbed some on impulse. In the past, I've had smoked and canned herring, but what do I with fresh herring? Any ideas? (Aside from share with my cats, lol.)
I love most kinds of food, but I'm scared to deep fry. Anyone got some recipes or recipe ideas?
