Small baked dishes

Happy New Year, everyone!

For Christmas I received a set of baking dishes, one large 2qt and 4 small 10-12oz oval baking dishes. These.

The actual dishes that I got said that they're 12oz but Amazon says they're 10... Anyway, they're itty-bitty.

Any ideas on what I can cook in these adorable little dishes? I was considering mini pot pies but they don ( Read more... )

Well, a Banquet pot pie is 7 oz so you'd actually be a bit generous.

But yeah - think individual serving sized baked goodies that you could customize.

Those are way too cute, BTW. As a single person something like that would be really cool.

Off the top of my head, I'd say creme brulee or flan. You could do a fruit crumble (fruit on top with a drop biscuit, puff pastry or pie crust lid). Maybe a shepherd's pie ... meat/veg mixture covered with mashed potatoes and then baked. Or a chicken/turkey pot pie with a top crust.

a galette, maybe a tiny quiche? Or some small portions of cinnamon spiced baked apples (like cracker barrel). The possibilities are endless, really :)
