Cinnamon Spice Brownies with Chocolate Cayenne Frosting

These are actually a combination of two other recipes that I've posted, Cinnamon Spice Brownies and Death by Chocolate (the frosting only).






For these, I made the brownie recipe as indicated, omitting the cayenne pepper. I added the 1/8 tsp of cayenne to the frosting instead, then sprinkled cinnamon sugar on top. The flavors really mesh together nicely. Neither the cinnamon nor the cayenne is so overpowering, but you can still get the individual taste and flavor of each.

What I like most about these is that they're not burning hot, but they do still definitely have a little kick at the end.
