I wanted grilled cheese on toast for lunch. But that was a bit boring. So I added some stuff from my fridge and came up with this.

Grilled cheese on buckwheat toast with black olives, pineapple and cranberry jams, cherry tomatoes, spinach, fig drizzled with honey, and pickled chilies.

Cherry tomatoes and mint dressed with balsamic vinaigrette, and more fresh figs on the side.

I'd baked the bread, cured and marinated the olives, made the pineapple jam and pickled the chilies.

I also grew the mint.

My nephew made the cranberry jam.
