I'm planning on making this recipe:
http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Slow-Cooker-Lentils-and-Sausage/Detail.aspx Now, I've read that any salt while cooking lentils keeps them from cooking thoroughly. One of the comments in the recipe says to add the tomatoes at the end because the acid from the tomatoes keeps the lentils from cooking thoroughly. But, if I cook the lentils in the crockpot with the broth, which contains salt, will that not affect them? I know a lot of people have reviewed this recipe but I'm still skeptical. Thanks!
