Okay, this was on sale at QFC a few days ago, and if it still is, do NOT buy it. It is possibly the worst tomato sauce EVER. I don't know what I was thinking, I always stick with tried and true ingredients, you can waste a lot of money otherwise. Can't even doctor this can of tomatoes up with salt and sugar, butter and onion, it still tastes like vomit. I'm making Marcella Hazan's tomato sauce that was all over blogland awhile back, here it is at one blog. It tastes like chef boyardee tomato sauce that comes with the ravioli, but in a much better way of course.
I'm going to stick with Hunts for the price and San Marzano when it goes on sale.
Edit: I meant crushed tomato, not tomato sauce, sorry.
