question for the experienced bakers

We're making some scones for a party next weekend and I'm wondering what is best :

prep & bake today and then freeze and thaw.
prep & bake today and then freeze & reheat.
prep & cut & freeze today & then bake on the weekend

Thoughts? Experiences? Best practices?
