sour cherries?
so my boyfriend is housesitting for a guy for two weeks, and i ventured over with him this weekend to discover in the backyard...2 sour cherry trees and 2 (very neglected) apple trees! the cherries are perfectly ripe and delicious, very dark pinkish red skin with light peachy flesh - a little sour but still good enough to eat right off the tree. my boyfriend said shawn (who owns the house) would be happy if i picked some, so i want to go back and get a bunch, but im not really sure what to do with them.
do, does anyone have any good sour cherry recipes or ideas of what to do with them?
