Advice?

Any of you guys have any comment on the Cuisinart BFP-703 SmartPower Duet Blender/Food Processor? I found a deal on a red one for just $35 and I've heard some good things about it, but I wanted to get some other opinions. I'm not planning on doing anything really hardcore with, I think the worst I would do is crush ice for drinks.

Thanks!

I have that very blender/processor. Since I generally cook for one or two of us, the processor is a perfect size. It's slightly larger than your average mini-processor, but small enough as to not take up too much room when not in use. The blender is a nice and sturdy glass pitcher. Overall, no complaints. For blending, I usually use my immersion blender (easier, faster cleanup), but this has worked when needed. I've crushed ice and it's been fine, no motor smell to indicate I was working it too hard.

Of all the appliances I got rid of in my recent move, this is one of the few that got packed to keep.

Forget the advice about the food processor (I don't own it so couldn't tell you anything about it), I just have to add in that I love that icon too. As soon as I saw it I had to show it to my fiance. It kept me laughing for the longest time, and since I'm severely overweight it is about what I would look like on a trampoline, LOL.

Have you noticed in that icon, that if you stop it when the elephant is at the bottom, it looks like a really weird spider, LOL.

I got that appliance for Christmas in 2005 from my MIL. It's pretty nice... I use the blender more than the processor, though. The food processor attachment is kinda noisy and doesn't have as large of a capacity as I would like. But, overall, I like it and I can't complain! $35 is a good deal for it, too.

$35 is a great deal for it! I just got one, and LOVE it. :-)
I cook for no more than 4 people at a time (usually 1 or 2) and it's a perfect size. easy to store and doesn't take much counter space when it's in use!
