Recipe swap!

So, here's the idea: If someone could kindly bestow upon me a really good [and hopefully not too tricky] recipe for a really good chocolate cake [maybe mudcake style], I would really appreciate it. As a token of my thanks in advance, I'll put up here a recipe given to me by my best friend's mother, and eaten gleefully by myself, my best friend, and my mother. ;)

Boterkoek

Ingredients:
250g butter
250g plain flour
250g sugar [I find raw/granulated works best]
1 beaten egg
8 [or so, to taste] pieces of cooking/crystallised ginger

Directions:
Mix butter, flour, sugar, and half of the beaten egg together in a bowl. Add sliced pieces of ginger, mix. Press into shallow-ish pan, about 9" by 9". Glaze with the remainder of the beaten egg.
Cook for around 40 minutes at 180°C/350°F. It should be moist inside, and lightly golden on top. If it's not cooked enough, simply put it back in the oven for 10 minutes. Cut into 1" by 2" pieces and serve warm.

And then tell me how it went. ;)
