You'd think I was a siren

Last night’s Fiona Apple concert was astounding. Much has been made of Fiona’s reservations about live performance, not to mention that one onstage meltdown that nobody seems to forget. In any event, she was on. I know she’s opening for Coldplay on a bigger tour next year. I’m not sure how that will go but if you get a chance to see her play a full set of her own, I say go do it.

I don’t remember the exact order of last night’s setlist but I’m pretty sure she’s been doing the same songs at every show. If you are curious, here it is:
Get Him Back, Better Version of Me, Shadowboxer, To Your Love, I Know, Sleep to Dream, Limp, Paper Bag, Tymps (Sick in the Head Song), Oh Well, On the Bound, Red Red Red, Not About Love, O Sailor, Get Gone, Fast As You Can Encores: Extraordinary Machine, Criminal, Parting Gift.

The crowd was exceptionally rowdy last night. Lots of chatter, lots of getting up in the middle of songs to use the bathroom (or get more beer?), and other kinds of general disruption. A good number of people seemed intent on engaging Ms. Apple in conversation in between songs. She was gracious, but fortunately she didn’t take the bait.
