I haven't posted in a while due to several things. I started back in couples and individual counseling about a month ago to work on some things. I was taking all sorts of anti-anxiety medication which was really messing with my body and mind. That coupled with drinking and "smoking" wasn't a great combination, so I decided to seek help. Things are going VERY, VERY well, I'm pretty much off my Xanax, down to 2-3 beers a night and a hell of a lot less "smoke". I feel great!! I had my appointment with my shrink a couple weeks ago and he put me on Zoloft (which is working great), just have to watch drinking (good thing). I started drinking 2 glasses of red wine a night to calm me down (going to totally cut out beer)(love it). I have been out of the Marine Corps for over 10yrs and have been diagnosed with PTSD (go figure), Social Phobia and Generalized Anxiety Disorder. Who knew post traumatic was just that! Anyway, things are really starting to turn around for me and I am doing great so far!!
