Between this and Pollyanna, for optimism
3. Sources of Light - Margaret McMullan
Okay I will cheat some more and say I was debating between this and 'The Giving Tree' by Shel Silverstein. But yes, Sources of Light gave me a very Subconsciously Thinking feeling after I'd read it, who knows how my thinking's been influenced since then :)
